provide emotional and educational support to families with deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind children

support families, Birth to 3 programs and school districts in gaining an understanding of the unique needs of deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind children

provide resources, strategies, and professional development in identifying the developmental, educational, social and language needs of individual children

provide technical assistance specific to different communication considerations, discussing their components, assessment strategies, and, best practices for implementation

identify and strengthen local, regional and statewide networks that provide high quality early intervention and early childhood services to deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind children
How?
The WESP-DHH Birth to Six programs utilize a combination of parent-to-parent matching, consultative, direct service, conferences, and equipment loan programs to model and support the development of best practices for educating deaf and hard of hearing children throughout Wisconsin.
